Ahhh, it's good to be back to the present. And look! Today's comic will make sense to others besides myself and one other person. Oh, glorious day! Hallelujah!
Okay, enough of that. I really didn't want to post a filler comic, but it's certainly better than missing an update completely. In the end, though, my getting […]

Despite what "Tootsies" (Mike) thinks, Assassin's Creed is a delightful game. I'm not arguing that it's perfect. I'm just saying that it is a heck of a lot of fun to play through. Having finally beat it (I'll guesstimate it took about 30 hours) with almost everything seen/done, I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the way the story panned out. And I'll be eagerly waiting for the next installment in the series. This post contains several words that Mike hates more than anything. Can you find all of them? I know Mike can.

There is one reason, and one reason only, as to why I didn't color today's strip. That reason was to draw a leather coat in black and white.
Yup. It's as simple as that.
Anyway, I had originally planned to write a full article to chime in on the subject of the Gamespot reviewer who was fired […]

It appears that a new, holiday-themed header now adorns the top of the page. Interesting. Thanks to whoever designed that.
I was inspired by the snow and feeling festive.
You know what, fuck Gamespot. Fired for other reasons? Really? That's the best they could come up with? Not going to blame this one on the Jews? Okay, let's think of some other reasons he could have been fired for.
- His religious/political ideologies are not in line with Gamespot's. Meh.
- He was caught sleeping his way to the top. Plausible.
- He wasn't fired for his review of Kane & Lynch, but for his shockingly positive review of 2 Girls, 1 Cup. Bingo.
It could have been worse. He could have created the game he was bad mouthing. I'm pretty sure that you don't need a crystal ball to see the end of your career after that one.
By the way, Kane & Lynch did suck. It had its moments of coolness. But it seems they spent so long developing these cool characters that they totally forgot about game play. I beat it on co-op, medium hardness with both endings in under 6 hours. That's just unacceptable. How is it that the big wow-feature of your game is repelling down walls in designated areas? They love it so much that you spend half of the second to last level doing it…over and over. R6: Vegas did that…except you did it where and when you pleased, if at all, and you could shoot while doing it. The story was cool, but not surprising and not very fluid. And what did I get for it? 100 fucking achievement points…total. Not that I'm an achievement whore, but I'd expect a little bit more for beating a game. Just for comparison, for beating Bioshock on medium on the first run I got 960 points.

Ah yeas, it's that time of year. The air is a cold and crisp, the snow tenderly coats the dormant grass and another DvR seasonal story arc is about to begin.
This time, however, things are going to be different. And by that, I mean a hell of a lot better than last time.
Yeah, I hated […]

Do you know what's fun? Slicing the side of your index finger off with a X-Acto Knife. Well, it's not actually fun, and I didn't slice it completely off, but it sure did bleed like a… well… I can't think of a witty analogy right now. But rest assured that it bled a lot. Not […]

‘Tis the season of losing appendages. Everyone is cutting themselves with X-Acto brand razor knives and losing toes in snow blowers. I, myself, have just cut my finger while cutting foam board. And so has the “little lady.”
It just goes to show you, holidays make people stupid. Science fact.

Yeah, another pencil and paper installment of the comic. My finger is still sensitive enough to where it continues to be a detriment to my computer using abilities. But at least I drew today's strip with the knowledge that it would be posted as is, so it is a lot cleaner then Friday's was.
Also, today's […]

What you have here is the one and only poem I have ever written. Also, it is the only poem that I most likely will ever write.
That is, unless I ever create something like today's strip again, which just might happen.
Just remember that, when reading poetry, commas are pauses and periods are stops. (I actually […]

I really, really didn't feel like drawing a regular DvR comic today, so instead I came up with the above. I think that when I want to do a filler comic, I'll just do another installation of "Goggles Jorge and the Dangers of the Deep."
Plus, it's good drawing practice (or, at least, something resembling drawing […]

I would just like to assure everyone that I have absolutely no idea what is going on in the above comic. Goggles Jorge might very well be witnessing a seahorse orgy. But then again I think everything is about orgies. Rorschach inkblot tests always end with me being TaseredTM.

I really am not sure what Tyra Banks does nowadays. I mean, I know she pretends to tell other people how to be models, but I don't know if she still models herself.
Anyway, that isn't entirely important now, is it? What is important now is the the coming of the new year, and the seemingly […]
